Deleteis a public use Airport. They may own the land, but the Airport is for everyone.
The city doesn't own the airport. The federal government paid 90% of the fees needed to build the airport. This includes the land, and runway. St. Clair only put 10% into the project.
DeleteI think a restaurant overlooking the runway would be a terrific community asset. If it's accessible (courtesy car or walking distance), that's all it takes to draw pilots from all over, and we locals could enjoy it.
