NEW COMPLAINT
A new part 16 complaint was sent to the city attorney Kurt
Voss and the FAA compliance office in Washington DC. The complaint addresses revenue diversion,
and undocumented insurance cost for the airport.
CITY RESIDENT “Desperate” It is apparent that you are under the impression that the complaint on the revenue diversion is a desperate act. These are some of MS words definitions of desperate. Overwhelmed with urgency and anxiety, to the point of losing hope So drastic or reckless as to be suitable only for a last resort Wanting or needing something very much So wicked as to allow no hope of redemption But I like this one the best. So drastic or reckless as to be suitable only for a last resort.
So what is the situation that caused this? In 2008, according to the AUDITED financial reports, (that would be found on page 11, and on page 14 of the 2008 auditor’s report) the airport showed a profit of $26,131.00. (That number does not include the depreciation on the $1.6 million dollar runway project from the 90’s). So what happens next? It would be difficult to close an airport that was self sustaining, SOOOOO!! The 2009 budget appears, and what does it have, a planned $10,000 charge to the airport for insurance. The city could not put the airport in the red just on the insurance, so they contracted out the grass cutting to an independent contractor, and pays them around $30 to $35 an hour to mow city property. Now the airport is going to lose money for sure. Just like that with a stroke of a pen the airport goes from GOOD to BAD. The desperation at city hall can be the only explanation for what appears to be intentional acts of mis-management. Desperation so strong, that the city is willing to break the law to attempt to achieve its goals. The city has BULLIED and BLUFFED its way through this closure attempt with rumors, mis-information, gossip, and propaganda, and has convinced people to side with their illicit plan, just by expressing a strong position, but now they are in the position of, “Let’s see your paper work”.
This is for all of the people who think the pilots are wrong for filing complaints against the city. If the city was trying to close the airport by the rules and laws in place, there would be no violations to file complaints on. If you think the city is above the law and not required to abide, you are going to be very disappointed real soon.
Must be desperation time for you, DeVil DeVries!
ReplyDeleteDesperation? Please elaborate, I’d like to hear more.

Can anyone tell me how much money the airport gets for the use of the road ?
