AIRPORT SUPPORT MEETING IS CANCELLED
The next meeting on Sat. has been cancelled. The following letter was sent by the city.
I understand the Cities point about protecting the public, they might get sued if someone trips or falls due to the condition of the asphalt on the taxiways ( that they have been told to fix several times) or maybe it' s because there is only one portable restroom and with that many people it would be a health risk. Now that's moronic.
Don't the pilots rent the hangers ? I would think you could invite anyone you want to your airplane hanger. I guess everybody in St Clair that rents a house or apartment and has a meeting must get permission from Mayor Bum. I guess you cant advertise for a garage sale ether. Who ever wrote that letter is a dumb .ss. They should be very careful, this letter could backfire on them as I' am sure some of them have had a advertised gathering at some time.
I think the legal side of this is being checked out. Not sure if the meeting at a hanger that is rented and used for aeronautical purpose falls under an event category, or requires special permission. So far, from what I have learned, this could backfire on the city. When you keep saying there is only four tenants, and none live in St. Clair, and eliminate services, then violate the right to peaceful assembly, etc.etc. it will not be a good outcome. Keep up the good work Mr. Bloom, you are making tremendous progress. Seven years down and how many more years will it take? I wonder when the citizens will wake up to the fact that the FAA has in the law that they won't close an airport for economic development . Especially when there were 30 planes on the field and was ran off with discrimination etc.

Oh my god... There's people at the airport? What will they do next? Fly their airplanes? No way! Stop them now!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Dumke from the newspaper will come to the meeting so he can report to Blum.
