Concerned Critter

After reading the comments to the previous post, I have to respond to Concerned Critter.  I don’t understand where you get the idea that the tenants are trying to handcuff the city, or trying to hold the city hostage.  The tenants have no voice in the Federal laws and FAA rules.  The airport was handcuffed to these rules when they accepted Federal Grants, many years ago.  Blaming he tenants is ridiculous.

The tenants did not start this “discourse” or whatever you want to call it. What is obvious also is that the anti airport people think the tenants are “bad people” because we won’t just walk away and give the airport up to the city.  Again it will make no difference to the FAA if there are fifty tenants on the airport, or no tenants at all.  What they will figure out, is that if there are no tenants on the airport, something is wrong at the airport.  If there are empty hangars, something is wrong at the airport.  If the city is not pursuing aviation development, there is something wrong at the airport.   There is no plus side for the city to try and force tenants off of the airport.

It understandable that the city is trying to prove that the airport is not needed, But that only makes sense to someone outside of aviation, and inside St. Clair.  To anyone else, and that includes the FAA, MoDOT, AOPA,NBAA, EAA, The OIG, and the United States Congress, and many, many people that just think aviation is great, AND to anyone who has read the rules, it make absolutely no sense at all.

The argument by the city, that the airport should be allowed to close under the present circumstances implemented by the city, actually proves that the city is not following the rules laid out for them by the FAA.  But, you would have to have an understanding of those rules in order to understand why.   Do not comment to this and claim that the city is following everything that the FAA has told them without reading the rules for yourself, and doing so, will only prove that you do not know the rules.

  1. Truth hurts sometimes, doesn't it Jimmy Boy? And I'm thrilled you finally agree that the airport located on city property has been handcuffed. You said it yourself in your post. And, of course, we all know YOU never lie, even though we all know that's a lie in itself. I was here when the tenants started all the discourse. So were tons of other St. Clair residents who continue to side with the city administration. Despite what's printed on here, honest St. Clair citizens know the REAL truth. Lie all you want on here, JimmyD. No one who matters pays any attention.

  2. I am thrilled you finally agree with Jim that the City has handcuffed the airport. YOUR OPINION MATTERS.

  3. Just remember your opinions on here or anywhere else when it comes to the airport don't matter.

  4. First you say my opinion matters. Then you say it doesn't. Back and forth we go, just like with everything else. ... And, your grasp of the English language is brutal. ... "Your's?" ... Hilarious! Second-graders can write better than you. However, that's not surprising considering the source. Your stupidity is showing, former tenant. Be careful. The more you write, the more people realize just how unintelligent you are.

  8. Oh Critter, you are a special one aren’t you. You keep saying things like; all, tons, everyone, majority, pilots lie, Jimmy D lies, honest citizens know the truth and now you’re an English teacher? This is a blog, kind of like texting. Where are all your so called supporters? Making an ass out of yourself and the ones you supposedly represent certainly will not help your cause. Im sure the Mayor must be proud of your antics. You reek of someone grasping for straws for reasons to close the airport but I have to tell you, this airport isn’t going away any time soon and if you think the Mayors delusionary ideas will close this airport than you are also delusionary.

  9. You might consider looking over these critter. Obviously someone in MODOT and the FAA think that St Clair Airport has potential to provide jobs. Isn't that what residents of St Clair want? St Clair has a Golden Goose, don't kill it and eat it. If you disagree with both of them, please present your idea of a better plan.

  10. Just remember, ladies, the FAA and MoDOT are not required to tell you everything when you constantly bother them. Others talk to them, too, and we receive information — sometimes the same as you and sometimes different. Maybe, just maybe state and federal officials aren't telling you everything that they talk about regarding this issue. If you follow how our deteriorating federal government works, you will know that. ... And another thing here, just remember that the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away and blessed be the name of the Lord. ... And more successful as what? Being stupid? I'll give you that one. ... Provide jobs? So far, that count is zero. ... And also remember, our mayor has been elected by a dominant majority three times with the fourth on the way — running on a campaign of shutting down the airport. Major majority. Landslide. Every time. There is the support. — Oh and texting and a blog means we can talk, write and act stupid? Again, you're proof of that. ... No need for me to grasp straws. This blog was made so you have a straw to grasp.

  12. I have nothing to do with it. I am just a concerned and caring citizen who wants to help, not hurt, this city. You cannot say the same thing without being a liar. ... What I say has no bearing on the decision. What you say has no bearing either. And although this also has no bearing on the outcome of our airport, it's just rather funny that people from both MoDOT and the FAA say they are sick and tired of all the crap from the hangar pilots. I'm sure they won't tell you that to your face, but they tell it to us. ... Remember the boy who cried wolf story, ladies. That has been mentioned and not by me.

    1. Everyone knows the story; the wolf killed the whole flock. The villagers had a management problem. They should have replaced the boy, and put a responsible party in charge of the sheep. Because of the villagers lack of understanding of the situation they ended up sheepless.

    2. In the airport’s situation the wolf is in charge of the sheep.

  13. The Faa has required the city to keep seperate accounting for the airport, pay rent for the lift station, pay rent for the hanger, file forms for airspace, require corrective action plans
What's next? The Faa is also tired of the city's noncompliance.

    ReplyDelete
  14. At least the city is doing what it is told. You ladies won't even pay your hangar rent without crying. Boo hoo. We all feel soooooo sorry for you. Did you know that the city of Washington just INCREASED its hangar rates?

    1. Ya they did, and they are still less than St. Clair.

  15. The city was told to abide by the compliance manuel but they refused, now the Faa is taking action and forceing compliance one issue at a time. If the city was doing what they were told, we would not be having this discussion.

  20. Concerned Critter. Your quote?
“it's just rather funny that people from both MoDOT and the FAA say they are sick and tired of all the crap from the hangar pilots.”

Ok big shot, lets hear what your friends at the FAA have to say about those stupid hangar pilots, go on lets hear it. Im afraid you are mistaken, the only words you hear are from your buddy the Mayor and is not what is actually coming from the FAA. Don’t recall anything as far as compliance letters for the tenants, its all been directed at the City.

You are truly a sad person. Truth hurts doesn’t it!

  21. As I have mentioned, you're not the only ones who talk to MoDOT and the FAA. There have been many of us who have directly talked to folks there and have specifically asked questions about you tenants. And, believe it or not, just like your wives, they are sick and tired of you. And I don't care whether you believe me or not. That doesn't matter. What matters is what the state and federal officials think of you guys as they solve this thing. ... If I'm sad, you're pathetic.

    1. OK Critter, you are making claims that you or someone you know, has talked to the FAA and MoDOT. Who did you, or the person that claims to have talked to them, hear this from, and who at MoDOT or the FAA did you specifically talk to and in what office? We would like to talk to them also.
I do not think that you or anyone else heard this from MODT or the FAA, and I do not think that MoDOT the FAA or anyone involved with the regulatory agencies would make a statement like this or stoop to your level.

  22. This exchange has been fun. Entertaining watching some product of St. Clair implode because he can't get his strip mall. And the guy now throwing around addresses?!?! the last ditch effort of a moron.

  23. critter, although we the city administration and us may disagree on things we are still civil. There are no bad feelings from us and I believe the city officials feel the same. Seems you are the one trying to incite ill will between us. This will be worked out according to the law. Your right the FAA is probably tired of hearing us. All we are asking is that they investigate the alleged actions the city has taken with federal money and take action if there is. If your neighbor turned their yard into a dump what would you be doing about it? You would be down at city hall complaining to them to do something. Thats all we are doing.

  24. If critter did not blame the pilots for all that is wrong with the city, who else would he have to blame?

    1. Now all’s they have to do is figure out what “all federal airport closure requirements must be met by the city." Means and how much that will cost.

Please, tell me what you think the projected date for closure will be after all the money is spent living up to MODOT’s request?

      Clueless!

    2. Once again The paper is misleading with its Headline. Now granted we haven't seen the entire letter but the one of the two line they did quote was, "because the city has made its desire clear, MoDOT will not oppose the city's request to close the airport." I'm not sure how that says that MODOT is siding with the city. I take it as as they are remaining neutral and not opposing the closure, but they also do not say they are favoring it.

There you go again, guys, grasping at straws because you have nowhere else to go in your losing battle. Simple FACT here is one of the allies you all thought you had, that you said on this humorous blog repeatedly that you had in your pocket — MoDOT — is not an ally. "Will not oppose" means will not oppose. There are two sides and only two sides here gents — open and close. MoDOT is saying "close" is OK. Doesn't take an English major to see that and even you guys with horrific grammar and spelling should be able to figure this one out. Oh, and remember the FAA is on record stating that it wanted a recommendation from MoDOT. Well, flyboys, here is your recommendation. ... Better start packing your bags. And good riddance!

    1. What part of “However, all federal airport closure requirements must be met by the city.” Do you not understand?
Did you read the letter from MODOT? I did. Its not as impressive as you think it is.
A whole lot of truth is about to be divulged and a whole lot of money to be spent by St Clair citizens without federal loans to compensate for closure requirements.

      On and On and On.

  30. stclairalltheway can you do math? add $350,000 the least amount it will take to be in compliance which if you can understand the english language is what the city needs to do first to be in compliance, yes must be in compliance( maybe you need a dictionary and then read http://www.faa.gov/airports/airport_compliance/) I know its a little more than Dr Suess but try. Then begin to consider closure + $750,000 outstanding federal grants, then get a real appraisal of the airport, considering the amount that everyone else wants for undeveloped property what do you think developed property is worth? 10 to 12 million, add all those up then they need a buyer, yea your right on track for closure. On top of that you are a COWARD no one knows if you even live in ST Clair, no one knows your name, you could be from north korea as far as we know! If you speak for ALL of St Clair state your name. I speak only for myself. Just in case anyone wants to read it the MODOT letter will be posted.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Dumpsey ... you're nothing but a desperate jerk. Geez. What a clown! Yes, the MoDOT letter says the city must be in compliance in regards to the airport. But, it also says our state transportation agency WILL NOT oppose closure. The point is that you no longer have MoDOT as one of your crutches. In fact, you probably never did. Oh, and it's Dr. Seuss, not "Suess." No wonder you fail miserably and are such a bonehead. You can't even read children's books. What a loser. ... And now I hear that you desperate pilots met with the city about airport hangar rates and after causing all the ruckus and having a pity party for yourselves you said you now will pay what the city has said is fair and reasonable.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The fair and reasonable determination will come from the FAA, not the City. If you think this is a spelling contest, well, your wrong. This is a contest between right and wrong, legal, and not legal, and obligations ignored. If all you can do is name call and make the comments you have, and think MoDot is the rulemaker, you are going to be very unhappy when the FAA makes their final ruling.
